By Omoyemi Yekini, the second daughter of one of Nigeria’s greatest footballer ever, Rashidi Yekini has graduated from the university of Ilorin with a degree in English.
This is coming two years after her elder sister, Rashidat graduated from the DeMonfront University in the UK.
The beautiful young lady was one of the 12,009 graduands at the prestigious university’s 35th convocation ceremony BlackBox Nigeria has confirmed.
The worthy event is also coming coincidentally on the 56th posthumous birthday of the late Yekini.
Rashidi Yekini is regarded as Nigeria’s best striker ever.
He scored a total of 37 goals for the Nigerian National side including the country’s first ever goal at the World Cup.
His enchanting goal post celebration is also regarded as one of the most memorable goal celebration in the world of football.
The Ibadan-born striker also scored of a total of 164 goals during his two decade career.
He died in May 2012 under mysterious circumstances.
His children however appear to be keeping the memory of their father alive by excelling in their pursuit for knowledge.
