Nigerian rapper Falz and singer Simi have sparked excitement among music fans after reuniting in the studio, raising speculation about a possible new collaborative project.
Falz fuelled the anticipation with a social media post celebrating the reunion and reflecting on the 10th anniversary of their joint project, Chemistry.
“Guess who’s back in the stuuuu. #ChemistryTheAlbum turns 10 this year btw 🥹 Another collaborative project?? What should we call it? 👀” he wrote.
The post, accompanied by visuals of the two artistes together in the studio, has triggered fresh conversations about the possibility of another joint body of work.
Released on October 27, 2016, Chemistry was a seven-track collaborative EP by Falz and Simi, released through Bahd Guys Records and X3M Music. The project featured songs including Foreign, Want To, Show You Pepper, Cinderella, Chemistry, Shake Your Body and Enough.
Their musical partnership dates back to earlier collaborations, including the remix of Simi’s Jamb Question and Soldier, which helped establish their chemistry and fuelled public curiosity about their relationship.
In 2024, the duo reunited on Simi’s song Borrow Me Your Baby, further demonstrating their musical connection.
Although Falz’s latest post has not confirmed the release of a new joint project, his question about what to call another collaboration has given fans reason to anticipate a possible follow-up to their 2016 EP.
