Abimiku was nominated alongside 14 other notable citizens of the state by the governor, Abdullahi Sule.

He said, “Those appointed by the Governor include Yakubu Kwanta from Akwanga Local Government Area, Yusuf Turaki from Awe LGA, Aishatu Ibrahim from Awe LGA, Salihu Enah from Doma LGA, Umar Gurku from Karu LGA, Nuhu Oshafu from Keana LGA, Idris Mohammed-Idris from Keffi LGA and Abdulkareem Kana from Kokona LGA.”

The Speaker urged all the commissioner-nominees to submit 25 copies of their curriculum vitae to the Assembly on or before Tuesday, December 14, for screening purposes.

Months ago, precisely in August, the Nasarawa State governor had announced a major reshuffle of his cabinet, relieving all commissioners and aides of their appointments.
