The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has organized a capacity training for 200 prospective beneficiaries of the Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) facilitated by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru.
The workshop titled, ’Entrepreneurship Development Training For Beneficiaries of Conditional Grant Scheme (CGS) Programmes’, commenced on Thursday in Ikorodu and Epe Local Government Areas of Lagos, respectively.
The SMEDAN’s training team will also hold the workshop in Somolu and Kosofe on Friday and Ibeju-Lekki on Saturday.
The beneficiaries who are traders and artisans were drawn from various trade association groups across the Senatorial district.
They were sensitized on topics like: Access to Agricbusiness Finance, Relationship between Funding and Business, Basic Management and Sales Techniques, Introduction to Basic Book Keeping and Tips on Customer Care, among others.
The training was mandatory for all prospective beneficiaries before disbursement of grants by SMEDAN.
