Nigeria’s First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari has announced that her daughter who just returned from the United Kingdom has been advised to go into self isolation.

This was announced by Aisha herself via her verified Twitter account where she disclosed that the First Daughter who arrived from London on Thursday and was advised by the officials of the Federal Ministry of Health and all other sister agencies handling the issue of corona virus in the country.

The First Lady noted that the advise was as a result of her travel history as the United Kingdom is among the high burden listed countries for COVID19.

Part of her tweet reads, “Good afternoon Nigerians, earlier today my daughter returned from the UK being among the high Burden listed countries of COVID-19. Based on the advice of the Hon. Minister Of Health, Presidential Task force on COVID – 19 and that of NCDC, She is on Self Isolation, not because she displayed any symptoms of the Covid-19.

She also added that parents should look out for their wards and try to prevent the health threats of COVID19, which she said is the reason behind shutting down her office as her staff were advised to proceed on self isolation.

Please I urge all parents to do the same if possible as prevention is better than cure. Similarly, I have shut down my office for two weeks with immediate effect while essential staff can work from home as a result of some Staff who recently returned from the UK.”
