Toluwanisings, whose real name is Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and music minister known for his energetic praise songs, Yoruba-inspired gospel music and contemporary worship recordings.
The singer came into the spotlight on October 14, 2026, following reports of his alleged death that circulated on social media, triggering prayers and expressions of concern from fans and public figures.
Nigerian lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi drew attention to the reports through an emotional Instagram post in which he expressed distress over the situation and called for divine mercy upon the singer.
Gospel entertainer and comedian Ayo Ajewole, popularly known as Woli Agba, subsequently urged the public not to reach conclusions, saying they were still trusting God.
However, BBC News Pidgin reported that it had not independently confirmed whether Toluwanisings had died or was receiving hospital treatment at the time of its report.

His musical style combines indigenous Nigerian gospel traditions with contemporary worship sounds. Some of the songs and projects associated with him include A Very Big God, Eleda, I’m Not Alone, Kos’oluwa Laye and the Unreserved Praise series.
Although detailed information about his childhood, education and early years in music remains limited in publicly available sources, his recordings and ministry appearances have established his presence among Nigerian gospel music audiences.

Toluwanisings was married and had two children, according to published reports.
On September 25, 2025, the singer celebrated his fourth wedding anniversary, publicly appreciating his wife for her support.

Survived a road incident in 2026

In July 2026, Toluwanisings disclosed that he and members of his music crew survived a road incident involving their bus and a fully loaded trailer while returning from a gospel ministration.
He shared photographs showing damage to the vehicle and described how the trailer nearly crushed the bus conveying the team.
The singer expressed gratitude that they had survived an incident he said could have claimed their lives.
The disclosure prompted messages of relief and prayers from his followers. However, no verified evidence has established a connection between that incident and the subsequent reports about his condition.
Reports of his death
The reports concerning Toluwanisings emerged on October 14, 2026, when Olajengbesi’s social media post triggered concern among fans and other public figures.
Woli Agba’s subsequent appeal for people not to draw conclusions added to the uncertainty surrounding the singer’s condition.
As of the time of the reports reviewed, there was no independently verified confirmation of his death from his family or management.
The reports therefore drew widespread concern without establishing the circumstances surrounding his condition.
Toluwanisings’ story, as documented publicly, includes his gospel music ministry, his marriage, fatherhood and his account of surviving a serious road incident. His current condition remains unconfirmed in the sources cited here.
