We may return to sit-at-home order, says IPOB

The proscribed secessionist group, Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) has made known its intention to return to the sit-at-home order across South-Eastern states in the country.

The group had been engaged in Mondays sit-at-home order, in an effort to propel the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

According to Sahara Reporters, the group had last weekend while speaking through its publicity secretary, Emma Powerful, called off the sit-at-home order, saying that the exercise would henceforth hold only on days its leader, Kanu would appear in court.

Meanwhile, residents of the affected states have bemoaned the negative effect of the order on economic activities since its inception, as many are left to count their losses.
