VOTE ALL APC CANDIDATES, BABAJIMI BENSON SAYS AS ICARE FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTES FEBRUARY STAPLE FOOD

The Federal lawmaker representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Babajimi Benson has again repeated his magnanimous gesture, by giving out food items for over 500 people across Ikorodu Division.

Hon Babajimi Benson in his address on Sunday February 10th 2019, said the laudable initiative was designed to prevent residents, particularly the indigent ones across the Division, from going to bed without food.

The lawmaker also expressed that the foodbank programme is not politically motivated but an initiative to support homes.

“Foodbank program is not to win people’s hearts, rather, what we are doing is to support our people and enable them to feed themselves for a while,” he explained.

 

On the forthcoming election, Babajimi appealed to the electorates to vote massively for him and all other candidates on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) come February 16 and March 2 respectively.

 

The event had in attendance amongst others, the Head of Service, Lagos State, Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, wife of the legislator, Mrs Jumoke Benson, former S.A. and Acting Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Lagos State, Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Council Chairmen, LGAs and Wards APC Chairmen, Council legislators and Supervisors, over 500 beneficiaries.

 

The programme, since its inception in 2016  has no doubt given succour to the less privileged, disabled, elderly and others in need through its monthly supplies.
