Tragic Helicopter Crash Claims Lives of Access Holdings CEO and five Others

A helicopter transporting Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, has crashed in California, claiming his life and the lives of approximately five others.

The tragic incident involved Wigwe, wife, son, Abimbola Ogunbajo, former chairman of the Nigerian stock exchange as the chopper was en route to Las Vegas, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The US government has confirmed that all individuals on board the ill-fated helicopter have tragically lost their lives.

The tragic crash occurred near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night at 10pm, sending shockwaves through both the business and aviation communities.

It was gathered that this is the second helicopter crash in California following a navy helicopter carrying five Marines which crash on Tuesday.

Apart from being the CEO of Access holdings, he is also the founder of Wigwe University, Isiokpo,Rivers State.

He served as the chairman of Access Bank (Ghana), Access Investment & Securities Limited, Central Securities and Clearing System (CSCS) and presently as chairman of Access Bank (UK) Limited and Unified Payments Services Limited, according to TheCable.
