A prominent member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, Sulaimon Lawal Onaolapo popularly known as ‘Arikuyeri’ has died.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the popular road unionist was reportedly killed by members of a cult group in what was said to be a supremacy battle for the control of the motor parks in the Mile 12 area of Lagos.
Arikuyeri, who was in charge of the park under the Mile 12 bridge, was reportedly axed to death by the yet-to-be-known assailants on Sunday morning. He was aged 42.
He was said to have survived a number assassination attempts around the axis in the past.
His death has since thrown members of the NURTW in the Mile 12 area as well as residents into mourning.
