Though, he lost out the Best African Act to his close rival Davido at the MTV Europe Music Award, Wizkid still managed to steal the night at the All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA) held in Lagos on Sunday, November 12th.
The Starboi won three awards for himself in different categories; Best West African Act (Male) Song of the Year (Come Closer) and also African Artist of the Year.
Other big Nigerian winners at the Award ceremony were Simi as she won Songwriter of the Year while Ycee won Best Artist in African Hip Hop. Tiwa Savage also got herself the Best West African Act in the Female category. Orezi won the Video of the Year for his Cooking Pot, shot by Adasa Cookey.
