Siraheem, son of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya, has announced his professional exit from the music industry, barely four months after releasing his debut project.
The singer made the announcement on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, bringing an unexpected end to a music journey he said began largely as a hobby with friends before gradually developing into a professional career.
Siraheem said the decision was not prompted by a loss of interest in music but by the difficulty of balancing his musical career with his other commitments.
According to him, the past year had made it increasingly difficult to give music the attention it required, prompting him to formally close what he described as his current professional chapter.
His decision comes just months after he released his debut eight-track project, By The Order Of The City, on May 1.
The project featured songs including “Kowope,” “Soweto,” “Bad Bitch Syndrome Part II” and “Brazil Bounce,” marking his most significant attempt to establish himself in the Nigerian music scene.
Interestingly, Siraheem released “Kowope (Live Performance)” on August 18, only eight days before announcing his departure from the industry.
Reflecting on his journey, the singer recalled performing at major events and receiving recognition from artistes he had admired while growing up.
But while he is stepping away professionally, Siraheem has not completely closed the door on music.
He revealed that he still has unreleased recordings, which he considers some of the best material of his career, and suggested that the body of work could eventually be released.
For now, however, the son of the Eleganza Group founder is turning his attention to other responsibilities, including his involvement in the family business.
His decision marks a striking turn in the career of an artiste who had only recently released his debut project and appeared to be building momentum in music.
Rather than continue pursuing the industry while struggling to balance competing commitments, Siraheem has chosen to leave on his own terms.
