Singers Ruger, BNXN enmeshed in superiority battle

A superiority battle has ensued between fast-rising Nigerian singers, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, and Daniel Benson, better known as BNXN (formerly Buju).

Ruger, during an interactive session with fans on Twitter on Thursday, boasted that BNXN is not better than him.

The “Bounce” crooner was responding to a tweep who took a swipe at him and compared him to his colleague in the industry.

The tweep wrote, “Lol BNXN is better than you and there’s nothing you can do about it you this low budget Samuel L Jackson.”

The singer, who appeared to have been angered by the tweet, slammed the troll and insisted that BNXN isn’t better than him.

Ruger argued that he has made hit songs without featuring fellow acts.

“I love Buju he’s good but he’s not better than me. Everything I’ve done since the beginning was only Ruger. All my hits are just Ruger. I’m always proud going on stage around the world with my own hits and everyone is singing along. You see the difference?” he fired back.

In what may be considered a response to the tweet, BNXN put up a cryptic message on his Twitter page on Friday evening.

The “Kilometer” crooner noted that talk is better with music. Though he didn’t mention Ruger’s name, there are feelers that he is referring to him.

“Talk is better with music. Bad Since’97, August,” he wrote.
