The Nigerian Senate has announced a new Deputy Senate Leader and Chief Whip on Wednesday.
It was learnt that the upper Legislative House of the country named Senator Oyelola Ashiru from Kwara South as the new Deputy Senate Leader.
Similarly, an Ebonyi North Senator, Nwebonyi Peter Onyeka, was named the new Chief Whip of the senate.
This appointment of Ashiru comes to replace the former Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State when the latter was appointed the Minister of Works by President Bola Tinubu.
