The drama çontinues as ailing President Muhammadu Buhari continues to be locked up in the English capital as uncertainty over his health lingers on.

Although six governors drawn from the geo-political zones recently met with the President in London and assured Nigerians that he is well, there appears to be uncertainty as to whether the President will be returning to complete his tenure.

One man who has however remained a torn in the flesh of the sick Nigerian president is the Ekiti State Govenor, Ayodele Fayose who appears to be Nigeria’s longest serving state executive.

The controversial governor has from day one not hidden his dislike and distrust for the retired general and had infact predicted his ill-health.

In a recent interview monitored by BlackBox Nigeria, Fayose was asked about his personal relationship with Buhari which responded to with an apt ” None whatsoever.”

He however wishes to meet with the president soon as he has has loads of things to tell him.

When asked what he would tell President Buhari if he has a chance to meet him, he said…

I will wish him well – and that, if he is not fit to continue (to rule the country) he should resign. What else would I say? Everything I have said, I will stand by it. The offices of the president and governors require a lot of energy. Whatever interest we represent, we cannot deny that. Our adversaries – our opponents – know that we are saying the truth. But because they are the beneficiaries of what is going on, they will defend it. But I’m not afraid of speaking the truth. Truth heals and endures.
