Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has appointed Mrs Islamiat Bolatito Ajibode as the new Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the Lekki Free Zone Development Company (LFZDC).
The new Deputy Managing Director of the LFZDC, Mrs Ajibode is a seasoned banker and administrator with 30 years of experience in corporate banking.
Prior to her appointment, she was the General Manager, head of client coverage (Corporate & Investment Banking), at Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc responsible for supporting large conglomerates and industrial companies across six major sectors of the Nigerian economy, namely Oil and Gas, Power and Infrastructure, Financial Institution, Consumer, Conglomerates &bIndustrials and Telecommunications and Media reporting to her.
She grew from serving as the General Manager/Head of Conglomerates and Industrials where she was responsible for growing client revenue and managing risk assets in excess of N100 billion; Deputy General/Head, Large Local & Chinese Corporates at the same financial institution.
She also had working experience with leading banks such as Magnum Trust Bank (now Sterling Bank), Eko International Bank (formerly Skye Bank and now Polaris Bank).
Mrs Ajibode is an alumnus of the Lagos State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics Education. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Obafemi Awolowo University.
In the course of her professional career, she has had extensive leadership and business strategy training from notable global universities including Columbia Business School, Kellogg North Western University, and Harvard Business School. Some of the courses and conferences include; Developing & Leading High Performing Teams at Columbia Business School in New York (2017), Strategic Client Management at Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town (2014), Treasury, Risk and Cash Management in West Africa at Euro Finance (2013), among others.
She is also an author and manufacturer of healthy drink GingerUp. She replaced the former DMD, Mr Adegboyega Balogun who bowed out with immediate effect from the position.
