LASU Vice Chancellor Loses Mum At 90

The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello is bereaved.

The varsity VC lost her mother, Chief (Mrs) Jadesola Ibidapo Tuesday evening,  13th September, 2022 at the age of 90 years.

Announcing her passage on her personal Facebook account, Prof. Olatunji-Bello wrote a glorious tribute to her mum who has served as a great pillar of support for her and siblings while pursuing their career successes.

”Mama alanu abiyamo aboja gborogboro. My Gold. The one that was there for our children while we their parents were everywhere trying to make ends meet. She was popularly called Grandma and her home was Grandma school. While our colleagues paid for crèches her children would always drop their children in her care at home sometimes for days free of charge. Our Fashionista! Our Prayer Warrior! So beautiful to behold. I surely will miss you my mother. Sunre o,” she wrote.

In a statement by the School management, it says, the Vice Chancellor craves the prayers of all members of the university community at this time. While noting that burial arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
