Reps speakership: Gbajabiamila reportedly bribing members with N36m each
Multiple reports reaching BlackBox Nigeria has it that the member representing Surulere Federal Constituency of Lagos, Femi Gbajabiamila in a show of desperation to clinch the speakership slot of the House of Representatives has gone on a spending spree to bribe members for their support.
Trouble for Gbajabiamila as PDP backs Bago for speakership
According to the report, Gbajabiamila has distributed a credit card to all members-elect and they are expected to snap the ballot paper after voting for their preferred speaker. Thereafter, they will be credited with a sum of $100,000 which amounts to 36 million in naira.
While this claim cannot be immediately verified, it was reported that Gbajabiamila who is the anointed candidate of the ruling APC has vowed to leave no stone unturned to ensure that he emerges speaker.
