Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru has congratulated the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Leader, Dr. Muritala Seriki, on the occasion of his 40th birthday, describing him as an exemplary young leader whose life has been defined by service, excellence and commitment to youth development.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the people of Lagos, Senator Abiru and his wife, Mrs Feyisola Abiru, praised Seriki’s remarkable leadership journey, noting that he had consistently demonstrated dedication to public service from his student days.
The senator highlighted Seriki’s previous roles as Speaker of the Lagos State Youth Parliament, Vice President of the Lagos State University Students’ Government, President of the African Medical Students Association and President of the Lagos State Medical Students Association, saying the positions helped shape his leadership abilities and prepared him for greater responsibilities.
Abiru also commended Seriki’s rise in political leadership, noting his emergence as the Lagos APC Youth Leader and the party’s flagbearer for the Lagos State House of Assembly, Kosofe Constituency II, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the senator, Seriki’s journey demonstrates that leadership is built on courage, character, competence and continuous learning, while serving as an inspiration to young people to pursue excellence through discipline, resilience and self-improvement.
“As you celebrate this significant milestone, we pray that Almighty God grants you greater wisdom, excellent health, renewed strength and even more opportunities to serve humanity and contribute to the development of Lagos State and our dear nation,” the statement read.
