In his Democracy Day address, Representative Babajimi Benson representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency in Lagos State emphasized the significance of unity in confronting Nigeria’s ongoing challenges while celebrating the nation’s progress toward democratic governance.
He remarked, “On this auspicious day, I commend our nation’s journey towards democratic governance and celebrate the progress we have made.” Recognizing the hurdles ahead, he urged for unity in overcoming them, stating, “I acknowledge the challenges that still lie ahead and the need for collective effort to overcome them.”
Benson highlighted President Tinubu’s administration’s dedication to good governance, economic growth, and social development. He affirmed, “President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated its commitment to good governance, economic growth, and social development.” Encouraging continued support for the administration’s vision, he urged, “Let us continue to support his vision for a greater Nigeria, where prosperity, justice, and peace are available to all.”
Emphasizing the importance of collaborative nation-building, Benson urged unity and adherence to democratic principles. “As we move forward, let us work together to build a nation that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people,” he stated.
