By What was supposed to be a kind gesture ended up becoming a costly mistake for a female student of Communication Department of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH).
According to FIJ, on April 7, the said student, who is in her second year, helped her lecturer, one Akindele Omotosho, to carry his bag to his office.
Rather than appreciate the female student for the assitance, Omotosho allegedly grabbed her and forcefully kissed her. She was only lucky to have managed to escape from the office before things went south.
“We both carried stuff from his car to his office, but after reaching there, he told me to go get something else from the car.
“When I came back, he just grabbed me and kissed me on the lips. It lasted for about two seconds,” the victim was quoted as saying in the report.
She added that since the incident, Omotosho has never spoken about or it or even apologised for his actions.
Attempts to get a response from him was met with verbal abuse from the accused lecturer who is said to have a reputation for sexual harassment of female students on campus.
