Popular Nigerian dancer, Poco Lee, will have to wait until 2027 for the next major proceedings in his United Kingdom sexual offence case after his plea hearing was postponed.
An X user, Oluomo of Derby, who said he was present in court on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, disclosed that the plea hearing has now been scheduled for February 8, 2027.
He also said the trial is expected to commence on March 8, 2027.
In a post on X, Oluomo of Derby urged the public to allow the legal process to take its course and avoid passing judgment based on allegations surrounding the case.
He wrote, “At this stage, it is important that we allow the legal process to take its course and avoid making assumptions or passing judgment based on allegations or information circulating publicly.”
He added that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
The proceeding is known as a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing, a pre-trial hearing where issues concerning the defendant’s plea and preparations for trial are considered.
Poco Lee, whose real name is Iweh Pascal Odinaka, is facing five sexual offence charges in the UK, including attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
Snaresbrook Crown Court had earlier responded to BlackBox Nigeria’s inquiries, listing his case for the plea and trial preparation hearing on September 15.
The court has also imposed reporting restrictions to protect the identity of the complainant under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
Poco Lee has denied committing the alleged offences, while the charges against him remain before the court and have not been determined.
His current custody or bail conditions, including any possible restriction on leaving the UK, have not been publicly confirmed.
