Munir Muhammad Sada, a 9-year-old boy, has joined English Premier League club, Arsenal FC. The Kaduna-born is to play in the team’s academy for kids.
According to Daily Trust, the Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the Governor of Kaduna State, Abdallah Yunus Abdallah shared the news via a Facebook post on his wall.
He wrote, “Arsenal FC have signed a 9 year old Nigerian. Munnir Muhammed Sada an indegiene of Zaria LG of Kaduna State is expected to be playing for the youth soccer team of Arsenal FC.”
Sada was said to have started his soccer career right from his primary school days. He signed his contract in the presence of his parents and manager. The kid has been handed the No. 9 jersey.
