Oga At The Top! Not A Snake, Samuel Umoru Swallowed N36m JAMB FUnds, Clerk Reveals
A clerk attached to the Benue State office of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Philomena Chieshi has made a new revelation that the missing money of the Board was not swallowed by the snake she earlier claimed, but collected by her superior, Samuel Umoru.
The Clerk while in detention at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) disclosed that there was no snake that swallowed the N36m but was collected in trenches by her boss, who was then collecting the money for ‘office expenses’.
It will be recalled that weeks ago, the money swallowing snake became viral after the JAMB official disclosed that the funds in her care went missing after an unknown snake invaded the Board’s office in Makurdi, Benue State and swallowed the money.
It later got to the public that it was not only in Benue State that the Board’s money was missing as Kogi, Nasarawa and Kano States soon joined the list of States with missing funds.
The named superior, Samuel Umoru as at press time is yet to deny the allegations levelled against him by the Clerk, but he was on Wednesday granted Administrative Bail by the EFCC, which is currently investigating the missing funds belonging to JAMB.
