World Champion and Nigerian Star Athlete, Tobi Amusan has been named Africa’s Best Female Athlete by the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA).
This honour comes right after she was ranked as the world’s fifth-best female athlete in 2022 following her record-breaking achievements in the year.
The year 2022 has been a great one for Amusan as the athlete made phenomenal victories including setting a new World Record of 12.06s in the World Championships 100m hurdles held in Oregon which earned her a gold medal.
Amusan also broke the 22-year standing record held by an American legend, Gail Devers when she retained her Diamond League Trophy in Zurich by 12.29s.
Meanwhile, World Champion Soufiane El Bakkali of Morocco was ranked as Africa’s best male athlete after winning the Diamond League finals.
