Following the redesigning of some of the higher denominations of the Nigeria currency, the Central Bank of Nigeria has released security features to help identify genuine notes from fake.
The redesigned note was launched by President Muhammad Buhari on the 23rd of November 2023 and was met with a lot of backlash from Nigerians. The notes were stated to be in circulation from December 15 of this year.
The governing body of the country’s financial institution released pictures to explain the security features Nigerians should be on the lookout for while receiving the new notes.
