How Nigerians in London forced President Buhari to return home
To the excitement of many, ailing President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that he will be returning home today, Saturday 19th of August.
This was made known by his media aide, Femi Adesina who also revealed that the President is expected to address the nation on Monday.
However fresh revelations have revealed that there is more to the President’s return than meets the eyes.
According to BlackBox Nigeria sources in the UK, the past few hours have not been a pleasant one for the President. A group of Nigerians took to Abuja House joining the #ResumeOrResign protest. Many of the protesters were also heard chanting Buhari go home in what has been described by one of the most coordinated protests by foreigners in the UK.
BlackBox Nigeria further gathered that unlike what is obtainable in Nigeria, London Police actually gave the protesters a go ahead to lodge their grievances.
In one of the videos released of the protest, some members of President Buhari’s family were seen trying to evade the protesting crowd in an unmaŕked car.
What however surprised many was the announcement this morning that the President would be returning home after about 106 days on medical vacation. This no doubt is not unconnected to the Abuja House protest which was in solidarity with the Nigerian version spearheaded by entertainer turned activist, Charly Boy.
When the President returns today, all other questions would come to fore but for now Nigerians just want him back.
