A Nigerian man identified as Tokunbo Omolase has appealed to the Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to introduce a mode of dressing for ladies in the state.

Omolase took to his Facebook page on Tuesday to express his displeasure over a lady’s dressing whose photo he shared. He said he was baffled as to why the lady left Bariga to Lekki wearing a crop top in a public bus.

He wrote, “Special Appeal to Governor Sanwo Olu: Kindly introduce mode of dressing for ladies in Lagos state, how can a lady dress like this at 8.04 am, Tuesday, 12th October, 2021 and leave New Garage Bariga in public commercial bus for Lekki in Lagos.

“If parents and family members are not checking mode of dressing should government avoid their responsibility for a good society.”

Meanwhile, his public appeal has generated mixed reactions on social media as many shared their opinion on the lady’s dress.

Under the comment section of his Facebook page, John Raphael said, “No wonder you want Kwankwaso. So that Nigeria can have mode of dressing.”

Another commenter identified as Wole Akin wrote, “I can’t believe anyone would call for this in a free and democratic society. Sir what’s it with you and women’s dressing? You did it I think last year or so.”

Charles Longman said, “sir i followed you alot and believed in some of your dreams and your economic analyses on star FM Radio, but on this issues I disagree with you because this girl’s dressing is never in any way Indecent.”
