Benjamin Nnanyereugo Best, who murdered his girlfriend Augusta Onuwabhagbe Osedion since July, has been arrested by the law enforcement authorities in Sierra Leone.
Osedion’s brother posted on his X handle to confirm the arrest on Saturday.
“I’ve spent the last week in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We were in contact with the Law Enforcement Agencies in Sierra Leone to set up ways to apprehend Ben,” he said.
“We knew where he slept, we knew where he ate, we trailed him until they were able apprehend him last night.”
It was learnt that according to the laws, Nigerian authorities will extradite Best and charge him in the coming days soon.
It should be recalled that it took several weeks of public outcry on various social media outlets before Best was declared wanted by the Lagos Police Command in October for killing Osedion.
