A 43-year-old Nigerian-British businessman, Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, has died after undergoing a penis-enlargement procedure in Thailand, with a UK inquest linking his death to a fatal pulmonary embolism.
Ubiribo reportedly travelled to Bangkok in March 2026, where he underwent the cosmetic procedure involving injections of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine.
According to evidence presented at the Inner West London Coroners’ Court, he later developed chest pain and collapsed twice while receiving a massage at his hotel.
He was taken to Sukhumvit Hospital, where doctors suspected a pulmonary embolism and recommended a CT scan. However, he reportedly lost consciousness before the scan could be carried out.
Medical personnel attempted to revive him for more than 100 minutes, but he died in the early hours of March 6.
A postmortem examination in the UK reportedly found material in his lungs consistent with the substance used during the enlargement procedure.
Pathologist John du Parcq told the inquest that the findings supported a link between the cosmetic treatment and the pulmonary embolism.
Ubiribo, who was also known by the names “Tiny,” “Denisi” and “Ego,” was reportedly popular on social media, with about 185,000 Instagram followers.
His death has drawn attention to the potentially serious complications associated with cosmetic procedures, particularly those involving injectable substances.
Nigerian singer Davido was among those reported to have attended his burial in London.
