Nigeria Loses Ambassador to Morocco, Emir of Zazzau’s Younger Brother

The Zazzau emirate council has announced the death of Alhaji Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, the younger brother of the Emir of Zazzau and Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco.

He was 42 years old.

According to the Media and Publicity officer of the emirate council, Mansur Nuhu Bamalli died at a private hospital in Lagos while on his way to Morocco.

The cause of his death was not disclosed.

The emirate council said that the funeral prayers for the deceased will be announced later.

He is survived by a wife and two children.

Mansur Nuhu Bamalli was appointed as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco by former President Muhammadu Buhari in October 2022.

He was a career diplomat who had served as a deputy director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He was among the 300 Nigerian ambassadors who were recalled by the Foreign Affairs Ministry in September 2023, but had not returned to the country due to logistical issues.
