Never Say Never Foundation Set To Hold ‘A Life Without Drug Addiction’ Symposium

As part of activities set to mark this year’s International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Wednesday, the 26th of June 2019, a community-based Non-Governmental Organization, ‘Never Say Never Foundation’ will be hosting not less than 400 students to a day symposium, to discuss and brainstorm on the theme, ‘A Life Without Drug Addiction’.

 

The participants who are expected to be selected from various secondary schools across Ikorodu division, will converge in a hall and be taken through series of reorientation, education, enlightenment, sensitization, and motivation by experienced guest speakers drafted from different societal backgrounds.

Never Say Never Foundation Inaugurates New Executives

According to a statement signed by the Project Coordinator, Olayinka Shojupe, the one-day symposium is aimed to programme the minds of the younger ones to work against abusive or reckless use of drugs, either recommended or self-adopted.

 

According to Shojupe, the symposium “will go a long way in keeping the youths away from becoming negative influences on the growth and development of the great division”.

 

The organizer states further that plans are ongoing to ensure that the symposium is not only an engaging one for participants but its resultant effects would also be positively felt by all and sundry across Ikorodu division.

 

The symposium is slated to hold at the multipurpose hall of Oriwu Model College, Ikorodu by 10 am.

 

Expected to engage participants at the symposium as speakers are Comrade Ohi Obadan, Mrs. Kikelomo Sowemimo, Dr. Nonso (Aproko doctor) amongst others.

 

NEVER SAY NEVER FOUNDATION is a community-based organization founded by Princess Aderoju Ladega – Kiniun Ikorodu.
