The husband of Mrs Toluige Olokoobi, mother of “mummy calm down” boy, has been nabbed a by the police.
Recall that Olokoobi and her son, Oreofeoluwa Lawal-Babalola, caught the attention of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other netizens after the boy’s video begging his mum to be patient circulated online in 2020.
The Edo State Police Command confirmed his arrest days after news broke that she reportedly committed suicide.
Recall that an X user disclosed the development of Olokoobi’s demise on Monday, claiming that he was at the scene of the incident.
“The woman in the viral Mummy Calm down video has just committed suicide here in Benin.
“She refused to speak to anyone about her problems. She left three kids for her husband including the popular Mummy Calm Down boy,” the post reads.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the state police command, Chidi Nwabuzor, noted that it was the husband reported the matter to the police after she was confirmed dead in a hospital.
