MTN Says All Subscribers’ Debt Will Be Restored Following System Glitch

Earlier today, some subscribers of the MTN Nigeria Communications Plc expressed joy as they unexpectedly saw their debts cancelled.

Many took to their social media pages to share the news with their friends and fellow users.

However, the communication company has issued a statement, through its X handle, regarding this, as it blamed its system for malfunctioning.

MTN stated that the debt cancellation was not intentional as it was as a result of a system glitch which it’s engineers are trying to solve.

It therefore stated that all balance would be restored as soon as the problem is resolved.

It wrote, “MTN Nigeria Communications Plc can confirm a system glitch impacting balance enquiries. As a result, some customers may receive error messages showing that their balances have been cleared. This is not the case and all balances will reflect accurate figures once the problem is resolved. Our engineers are currently working to ensure this.

“Please accept our apologies. We regret the inconvenience.”
