American RnB singer, R Kelly, has been on trial for sex trafficking for days and on Monday, the eighth day of the trial, a young man testified that the star promised him fame in exchange for sex.
The young man, simply identified as Louis, said he was just 17 when Kelly asked him what he was willing to do anything for music.
According to Louis, he first met Mr Kelly in 2006 and was working a night shift at McDonald’s.
He explained that the famous singer slipped him his phone number and invited him (Louis) to his house for recording sessions and promised him tips for a successful music career.
On one occasion, the star asked him if he had any fantasies involving men and then allegedly crawled on his knees and gave him oral sex even though he (Louis) was not into such.
Louis told the court that he kept seeing him (Kelly) because he really wanted to make it.
Meanwhile, Kelly, now 54, denied all charges including eight counts of violating an interstate anti sex trafficking law known as the Mann Act and a single count of racketeering.
