We Lost An Heavyweight Politician- Okorocha Speaks On Atiku’s Exit
Governor Rochas Okorocha has finally reacted to the exit of former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as he said the All Progressives Congress (APC) indeed lost a heavyweight politician.
Governor Okorocha disclosed this while speaking with journalists in Akure after he was conferred with an Honourary Doctorate degree at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State on Saturday. He said after reviewing the exit of Atiku, he saw that it was not a good development for the party.
He said, “I have taken a holistic view of our party, it (Atiku’s exit) is not the best because no matter how anybody thinks, Atiku carries some political weight. His leaving our party is not the best.”
Okorocha however added that the ruling party had decided to make amends and the vacuum created by the former VP would be filled up accordingly.
