Let’s Go To Sambisa- Lai Mohammed Sends Formal Invitation To Oby Ezekwesili And BBOG

The Federal Government through the Ministry of Information and Culture has invited members of the Bring Our Girls Back group to a short trip into Sambisa forest in search of the missing Chibok girls.

The invitation extended to members of the BBOG, an advocacy group for the release of the missing school girls from Chibok, Borno, was contained in a letter dated January 11.

The letter, signed by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, and addressed to Oby Ezekwesili, the convener of the group, was made available to the media on Saturday.

In the letter, the Alhaji Lai Mohammed asked the BBOG to nominate three of its members, plus Dr Oby Ezekwesili to join on the guided trip on January 16 in recognition of the unwavering commitment of the group to the release of the girls.

It was stated in the letter that the FG really congratulates the group’s interest in the fate of the abducted Chibok Girls and will wish if they can go on a trip with the Nigerian Air Force so as to witness the daily routine search of the Armed Forces among other efforts.

It was also stated in the letter that the trip which is being planned by the Military will also see the Ministers of Defence and Information, the Chief of Air Staff and also the Chief of Army Staff joining the delegated four members of the group.

It was also revealed that the team will be briefed properly after the air trip to Sambisa Forest at a base of NAF in Yola, Adamawa State.
