LAUTECH Set To Call Off Strike As Oyo And Osun States Pay N500m

Students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology , Ogbomoso may be on their way back to school as reports confirmed that the university management was ready to call off the 8months old strike.

BBN gathered that the two sponsoring States, Oyo and Osun had contributed a total of N500m.

It was learnt that the fund was made available to the Vice Chancellor of the institution in order to offset unpaid wages and salaries.

Recall that some weeks ago, the agitated students of the institution had marched to the Oyo State Government House seeking urgent action towards reopening of their school. A situation that witnessed an outburst from Governor Abiola Ajimobi to the protesting students.
