A lecturer at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Professor Abass Olajire, is dead.
According to DAILY POST, the don died few minutes after he slumped at a Jumat service holding at Ansarudeen Mosque, Oke Ado, Ogbomosho on Friday.
He was later confirmed dead at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.
Olajire’s death was confirmed by LAUTECH Public Relations Officer, Lekan Fadeyi.
Fadeyi said, “He slumped at the Ansarul Deen Mosque, Stadium Road and was confirmed dead at the LAUTECH Teaching Hospital.”
Meanwhile, DAILY POST reported that the university don is one of the best professors in LAUTECH. He joined the university in 1990 as an assistant lecturer. Professor Olajire was an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University and University of Ibadan respectively.
