It was a colorful moment yesterday when Lagos State Government, under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode released first pictures of the completed Berger bridge in Ojodu area of the State.
Berger bus stop is a popular point of call for all commuters coming in to the State, for new comers, it is a regular name they first have in mind. The bus stop before now had witness so many casualties as pedestrians cross the express way.
Even though the State Government had in recent times had to implore the use of task force officials to enforce pedestrians to use available bridges in designated bus stops, a situation that many find appalling, it is still building more for usage.
At inception of his administration, the Governor had promised to deliver a bridge for the Berger and all commuters plying the route. It was a breathe of relief yesterday when it was finally completed and signed into use.
