Lagos Rep Empowers 300 Residents with Solar Energy Training in Ikorodu Federal Constituency

 

As part of efforts to equip residents of Ikorodu with sustainable skills, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has launched a transformative two-day training program on solar energy technologies, empowering 300 residents.

The training sessions in Magodo and Ikorodu, aimed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge in assembling, maintaining, and repairing solar energy systems.

According to Rep. Benson, the primary goal of the program is to enable youths to generate income and share their newfound expertise within their communities.

With the training, it is expected that participants will be able to design simple solar grids, install, maintain, and repair SPV technologies, and troubleshoot solar street lights.

Rep. Benson, represented by his aide Mr. Rasheed Aregbe, reiterated that the training aims to tackle joblessness, insecurity, and youth restiveness in Ikorodu. Aregbe conveyed Benson’s belief in the empowerment of individuals, stressing that all his initiatives are designed to directly benefit the lives of his constituents.

Aregbe encouraged the youth to remain focused and patient during the training, highlighting its potential to significantly impact their futures.
