By The Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Hon. Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan has been thrown into mourning following the demise of his mother, Alhaja Awawu Abeje Gafaar who passed on at 94.
Bolowotan, who is also running for the Lagos State House of Assembly in Ikorodu Constituency I, took to his various social media pages to announce his mother’s death on Friday.
The politician, mourning his beloved mother, disclosed that her remains have since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites, while calling for prayers for the departed soul.
He wrote, “With a heart filled with gratitude and a total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah
“I, on behalf of my family announce the death of my mother, Alhaja Awawu Abeje Gafaar (Iya Ijebu).
“She was 94 years old. She has since been buried according to Islamic rites. Please join in praying for the repose of her soul”.
