The Kwara State Police Commissioner, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, has taken swift action by declaring Salam Ayodeji a wanted man after he allegedly threatened Isese adherents in Ilorin, Kwara State.

According to Punch,  Salam Ayodeji was caught on video entering the shop of a female Isese adherent in Ilorin and issuing a disturbing ultimatum, demanding that she vacate the premises within eight days.

The video, widely circulated on social media, captured Ayodeji’s menacing demeanor and his proclamation that Isese practitioners were not welcome in the town.

During the video, Ayodeji and his associates confronted the lady with derogatory comments, raising concerns over religious tolerance and freedom in the area.

He said in Yoruba, “Do women sell electronics?” Ayodeji asked, to which his cohorts responded, “We have never heard of such.”

“We have told you what we want; leave the town. We do not allow Isese people in our town.”

The individual’s audacity was further compounded by his assertion that his actions were supported by the police commissioner.

In response, Police Commissioner Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi has not only labeled Ayodeji a suspect but has also strongly condemned his actions.

During a meeting with Ayodeji’s family, the commissioner urged them to surrender the suspect for the alleged charges of terrorism and defamation against the police.

Adelesi criticized the suspect’s family for what she perceived as a lack of proper upbringing and understanding of religious diversity.

Furthermore, the commissioner engaged with the Alaran family, who were tenants of the Isese adherents targeted by Ayodeji’s threats.

She expressed disappointment over their compliance with the suspect’s demands and questioned the rationale behind such actions.

Salam Ayodeji’s whereabouts remain unknown, as he has reportedly been evading authorities.

His family claims to have been unsuccessful in contacting him, with his phone remaining unreachable for days.

Tajudeen, the husband of the Isese adherent who was subjected to Ayodeji’s intimidation, revealed that the suspect’s family had extended an apology and sought his forgiveness.

Despite this, the incident has raised concerns about religious harmony and tolerance in the community.
