Kunle Afolayan’s star-studded ‘Anikulapo’ to drop September 30

Anikulapo, a film by award-winning Nigerian filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, will officially debut on Netflix on September 30.

The epic film, the second collaboration between Afolayan’s KAP Motion Pictures and the streaming platform, tells the adventurous story of ‘Saro’ portrayed by Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi.

The movie explores similar themes as HBO’s hit series ‘Game of Thrones’ but with a representation of the Yoruba culture. The production took place at the newly launched KAP film village in Oyo State.

The official trailer of the highly anticipated movie was released on Monday morning, and its star-studded cast include Sola Sobowale, Bimbo Ademoye, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Aisha Lawal, Kareem Adepoju (Baba Wande), Moji Afolayan, Fathia Williams, Dele Odule, Ikorodu Bois, among others.
