Kenya’s Fresh Presidential Election Gets New Date
The presidential election of Kenya has gotten a new date following the SUpreme Court judgement nullifying the victory of incumbent leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), a fresh presidential election will be held on October 17th, 2017.
The announcement was made by the Chairperson of IEBC, Mr Wafula Chebukati in Nairobi on Tuesday.
It will be recalled that the previous election was annuled by the country’s apex court following a petition filed by the main opposition leader, Raula Odinga.
