Veteran actor Prince Babajide Kosoko popularly known as Jide Kosoko has appealed to Nigerians and fans across the world to continue praying for his colleague, Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, who is currently receiving medical attention.
Kosoko made the appeal while expressing appreciation to fans, colleagues, friends and well-wishers who have shown concern over Ogogo’s health and offered various forms of assistance.
According to him, the family and colleagues have received hundreds of messages, prayers and offers of spiritual and medical assistance from people who believe they can help the actor recover.
He said some of the offers have come from more than 300, and in some cases over 500, people.
“We sincerely appreciate every single one of them,” Kosoko said, noting that the overwhelming show of concern demonstrated the love people have for Ogogo.
However, he appealed to those offering assistance not to feel offended if the actor could not be brought to them for spiritual treatment or other forms of intervention.
He explained that moving Ogogo from the hospital to different locations at this stage of his treatment would be extremely difficult, particularly given the number of people who have offered to assist.
“The challenge is simply: Where do we take him to? And how do we move him from the hospital while he is receiving care?” he asked.
Kosoko stressed that the inability to take Ogogo to individuals offering assistance should not be interpreted as a rejection of their intentions or a lack of appreciation for their concern.
He urged well-wishers to continue praying and supporting the actor from wherever they are.
“Please, continue to pray with us. We believe strongly that, with your prayers, our prayers, and the mercy of Almighty God, Taye will come out of this situation successfully. There is nothing impossible before Almighty God,” he said.
The veteran actor also expressed gratitude to everyone who has offered spiritual, medical and other forms of support, urging them to keep believing in Ogogo’s recovery.
