Insecurity: Change Tactics Goodluck Jonathan Tells Muhammadu Buhari
Former president Goodluck Jonathan has advised President Buhari to change tactics in tackling security challenges in the country.
Jonathan , who made the assertion on Tuesday while paying a condolence visit to the leader of the Pan Yoruba Social Cultural group, Chief Reuben Fasoranti in Akure, over the death of his daughter that was said to have been shot by the Fulani herdsmen along Ore/ Lagos Highway on Friday afternoon.
The former president who said, the tactics in curbing crimes should have been changed before now since the president is an erstwhile military man.
” We are sad at the hearing of this ugly incident, honestly, we are sad and as well, the federal should change tactics of curbing crimes in Nigeria so as to reduce the further occurrence”. He said.
“The new technology should be adopted as well to forestall peace and reduce crime”.
The former president was in company of the Secretary to the Ondo state government, Hon. Abena Abegunde, and other commissioners in the state.
In his response, Chief Fasonranti appreciated the former president for having time to check on him and condoled with him.
