Ilorin-born Table Tennis Player To Represent Nigeria in Tunisia

Aiyelabegan Sukurat, an Ilorin-born table tennis player, has been invited to represent Nigeria at the World Table Tennis training camp in Tunis, Tunisia.

This was contained in a statement by the Kwara State Sports Commission on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Sukurat was invited alongside (12) countries to compete in this year’s youth training camp in Tunisia between 7th – 19th September, 2021.

Sukurat was invited by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) to represent Nigeria based on her competitive, high exposition, and inherent abilities.

Speaking on the invitation, the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Magaji commended the Kwara State Government led by Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for sponsoring the athlete (Aiyelabegan Sukurat) for world representation and his contribution to sports development in the state as a whole.

The youth training camp is slated to hold in Tunis, Tunisia between 7th – 19th September, 2021.
