How Herbert Wigwe’s PA escaped death that killed his boss, family
Last night, news went viral that the founding Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe has died in a helicopter clash.
Wigwe as reported died alongside his wife, Doreen and son, Chizzy in the ill-fated helicopter clash which also claimed the life of Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group. Two pilots were also lost in the crash.
BlackBox Nigeria has now uncovered that one man who luckily escaped death is the Personal/Technical Assistant of Herbert Wigwe, Faleye Olushola who refused to fly with the other passengers.
According to revelations gathered by BlackBox Nigeria, Faleye Olushola blatantly refused to fly in the ill-fated helicopter due to the weather conditions at the time. Eye witnesses as gathered by BBN360 told US authorities that it was raining when the crash occurred.
Olushola, who is a graduate of Mathematics from the Ahmadu Bello University reportedly flew with the Wigwes and Ogunbanjo from London in the UK to California where the crash occurred but rather than fly in the chopper decided to travel by road to the Boulder City, Nevada destination of the group.
Faleye according to claims insisted he wouldn’t travel at night due to the bad weather condition at the time.
Access Holdings, the parent company of Access Bank has also released a statement confirming the deaths.
