Group Appreciates Lagos Women Support For Ambode’s 2019 Reelection

The Lagos Women for Akinwunmi Ambode (LAWAA) on Monday showed appreciations to women from various Local Government Area for their support during the maiden rally held in honour of the State Governor as he bids for 2nd term in office.

The event was held at the APC Lagos State Secretariat on Acme Road, Ogba-Ikeja, where cheques were presented to women from LGAs that emerged as winners from the rally.

BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the Group promised to reward various LGAs that become victorious at the end of the rally. The rally was held at the Police College, Ikeja on March 26th, 2018.

In a video obtained by BBN360, Convener of LAWAA, Chief (Mrs) Kemi Nelson, who is also APC Women Leader (South West) called on the women to spread the awareness of PVC collection so as to use it to vote for the incumbent Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode in 2019 General Elections.

She affirmed that the performance of the Governor in his first tenure should be rewarded with a deserved victory at the polls.

While presenting the cheques, Chief Kemi Nelson also disclosed that the cash prizes being shared to the LGAs were sourced independently by the Group,and not gotten from the Governor nor any of his aides.

Chairman (Media) of LAWAA, Hon (Princess) Folashade Olababji-Oba in her comment also called on the women to ensure Governor Ambode gets a landslide victory at the Lagos governorship election in 2019. She also stated that the good works of Governor Ambode is enough to grant him a second term.

The LGAs that were rewarded include;

5th Position: Mushin LGA, won N150,000

4th Position: Ojokoro LGA, won N150,000

3rd Position: Ifako Ijaiye LGA, won N150,000

2nd Position: Surulere LGA, won N200,000

1st Position: Ikeja LGA, won N250,000.

Present at the event were; Chairman of LAWAA, Hon Olayinka Oladunjoye, Chief Kemi Nelson, Hon (Princess) Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Leaders of women in all the LGAs in the State, and other notable invited guests.

Speaking on behalf of the winners of the cash prizes, Chairperson of LAWAA, Ikeja, Mrs Abigael Balogun, in her speech promised to mobilise women in and around the State to ensure a resounding victory for Governor Ambode at the polls come 2019.
